History

RoofCARE was created on April 1, 2008. The ownership team knew that consumers had a general frustration, fear and mistrust of the traditional roofing contractor. They strongly believed the market would respond positively to a service-based roofing contractor with an emphasis on extending and maintaining the life of the roofing asset.

Owners
With 38 years of experience in the roofing industry and a combined 112 years of business experience, our owners had a great background to launch their own company.

Walter Bunnell, COO, was the manager of the entire Mexican division of a large roof consulting and manufacturing company. He took the division from its launch stage to $5 million annual sales in 4 years. He was also the Regional Manager of the Midwest and Southwest US markets and delivered a record growth; from $1.5 million to $21 million annual sales in just 5 years.

Louis Zaina, CEO, was the New Mexico Territory Manager for the same company mentioned above. He took the annual sales in NM from $400,000 to $4 million in less than 5 years.

From day one, we strove to bring professionalism, responsiveness and quality to an industry not known for those attributes. We differentiated the company by not limiting our self to roof replacement; instead we help the client get the most life out of their roof.

In 2008, we primarily served Albuquerque’s mid to high-end residential and property management market. In 2009, we began to shift our marketing to include commercial and public entities. In January 2010, we opened our Santa Fe Branch. In October 2010, we opened our Las Cruces / El Paso Branch. These branches have seen significant growth and are acting as models for future branch development. We now exclusively serve the Commercial and Government Markets, specializing in schools and other public entities.
