Project Manager

Job Description:

The project manager is responsible for supervising and directing a wide range of objectives from start to finish. This person will organize and oversee RoofCARE’s procedures and processes to ensure the job is completed timely, efficiently, safely, and high-quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, sales rep, estimators, etc., to accurately understand job specifications
  • Manage multiple jobs and crews simultaneously
  • Ability to use material coverage rates to accurately calculate material needs
  • Accurately calculate production rates
  • Positively communicate with internal and external customers on a timely basis
  • Effectively communicate the scope of work to crew members
  • Obtain permits and licenses from city, county, or other authorities as needed
  • Determine materials, equipment, manpower from start to finish with budgetary understanding and limitations
  • Collaborate with the inventory manager to ensure delivery of materials
  • Capitalize on useful resources such as €œin-stock inventory spreadsheets€
  • Be aware of material lead times and local material availability
  • Monitor job in progress and material usage, and report material transfers
  • Supervise and guide crews while reviewing constant quality, productivity
  • Evaluate job progress and enter all details into the CRM
  • Perform timely quality evaluation by uploading documents and pictures accordingly
  • Enforce all safety procedures by reporting safety issues and / or non-compliances
  • Observe daily forecast to determine underlying hazards, shutdowns, watertight procedures, and proper material or equipment storage from weather elements

Requirements:

  • Proven 3-5 years of roofing or related industry knowledge /experience
  • Physically fit with the ability to climb ladders
  • Knowledge in OSHA standards and general safety regulations
  • A firm understanding of basic budgetary and estimating practices
  • Mechanically inclined (Equipment/Tools)
  • Knowledgeable with most roof types
  • Understanding of upselling process and proposal writing
  • Able to communicate and negotiate both verbally and in written form
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles
  • Managerial experience overseeing projects
  • Standard safety weather principals
  • Weather observation fundamentals
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with construction CRM software
  • Knowledgeable in MS & Google Suites
  • Able to travel within New Mexico and Texas
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug test

Project Supervisor (Foreman)

Job Description:

The supervisor is responsible for leading the crew to perform work safely, productivity per job specifications, and RoofCARE standards. The supervisor should be detail oriented, experienced with multiple roofing systems, and experienced supervising roofing crews.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing and ensuring required paperwork is finalized
  • Positively interacting with internal and external customers
  • Ability to be detailed-oriented, resourceful and follow direction
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Managing materials, labor, equipment and required daily field reports
  • Examining roof layouts to strategically assign crew members as per their skills
  • Leading the crew while demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed quality, productivity, workmanship and safety standards on any job site
  • Performing product installation as per manufacturer’s specifications
  • Meeting estimated production goals
  • Participating in ongoing product training, staff meetings, safety training, hands-on training as necessary
  • Participating in or leading daily and weekly safety meetings, job specific meetings, or other training required by RoofCARE
  • Making sure roofs are safe and watertight at the end of each day, materials and equipment are stored safely (returned the warehouse if necessary), and any fire watch is completed and secured prior to leaving the job site
  • Maintaining a clean vehicle, performing weekly vehicle inspections, and delivering vehicle to service locations for required maintenance
  • Checking in upon arrival and checking out upon departure with customers daily
  • Communicating and managing job specific safety, PPE and equipment inspections, evacuation, and emergency rescues plan prior to the start of every job. Making alterations to changing conditions during periodic audits
  • Maintaining and enforcing all safety guidelines, regulations, and policies with everyone including crew, customers, visitors, and inspectors
  • Providing leadership for the assigned crew while fostering OSHA/Company safety, teamwork, and discipline
  • Providing coaching, training, evaluation and feedback with technicians as needed
  • On the fly resolution of in the field issues with equipment, materials or weather: communicating job site actions, needs and challenges to the Project Manager
  • Communicating regularly with PM regarding issues with crew, job specifications, equipment, materials, and customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven 3-5 years of roofing knowledge/experience and managing crew size of 3 or more
  • Must be physically fit to set up, climb ladders periodically, withstand long hours in an upright, or crouched position.
  • Knowledge in OSHA standards, general safety regulations, and minimal of OSHA 10-hour
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in written form in English/Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • In-depth knowledge or roofing product/services.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Must understand scheduling concepts
  • Must be able to travel in New Mexico and West Texas
  • Must have a valid and clean drivers’ license
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug test

Sr. Service Technician

Job Description:

The Sr. technician is responsible for project performance, work safely, productivity per job specifications and RoofCARE standards without supervision. The Sr. technician should be detail oriented, experienced with multiple roofing systems, and must be able to supervise crews in the absence of the project supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating regularly with supervisor regarding issues with crew, job specifications, equipment, and materials
  • Checking in/out daily with customers upon arrival and departure of each job site
  • Assist in managing materials, labor, equipment and required daily field reports
  • Assist in examining roof layouts to strategically assign crew members as per their skills
  • Assist in leading the crew while demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed quality, productivity, workmanship and safety standards on any job site
  • Performing product installation as per manufacturer’s specifications
  • Assist in meeting estimated production goals
  • Participating in ongoing product training, staff meetings, safety training, hands-on training as necessary

  • Bilingual prefered – Verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish

  • Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold temperatures, etc.)
  • Ability to travel in New Mexico
  • Have a valid and clean drivers’ license
  • Must pass background check
  • Must pass drug test

Jr. Service Technician

Job Description:

The Jr. technician will assist the supervisor in completing a variety task/projects with little supervision. The duties of the Jr. technician include using tools/equipment as directed, keeping a steady supply of material available for the foreman and Sr. technicians, and keeping the work area/equipment clean.

This position is designed to provide education, training, and support so that career advancement is possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Filling out required paperwork for supervisor
  • Positively interacting with internal and eternal customers
  • Ability to be detailed-oriented, resourceful and follow direction
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Participating in daily or weekly safety meetings, job specific meetings, or other training required by RoofCARE
  • Assisting with meeting estimated production goals
  • Checking to ensure that completed roofs are watertight
  • Sweeping and cleaning roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials
  • Locating worn or torn areas in roofs that may cause leak areas
  • Conducting roof maintenance and repairs
  • Installing single ply membranes (TPO, PVC, EPDM)
  • Covering roofs with layers of roofing felt or asphalt strips before spraying, coating or installing tile, slate, and composition materials
  • Removing old roofing materials
  • Unloading materials and tools from work trucks, and unrolling roofing as directed
  • Reporting to warehouse or job site as designated by supervisor on time
  • Following RoofCARE procedures and policies
  • Following OSHA/RoofCARE safety regulations, policies, procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven 2+ years of roofing knowledge/experience
  • Knowledge in OSHA standards and general safety regulations and minimal of OSHA 10-hour
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work alone efficiently for periods of time
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from supervisor (foreman)
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
  • Ability to obtain and use personal tools, such as tool bag, hammer, measuring tape, scissors, or any tool required for job performance
  • Physically fit with the ability to climb ladders and withstand long hours in an upright or crouched position
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold temperatures, etc.)
  • Able to travel within New Mexico and Texas
  • Must pass background check
  • Must pass drug test
